Back again! I know it's been almost a year, but after a back injury blew the show year and most of my business out of the water, I haven't felt much like dealing much with the website. I'm still dealing with the disk, but, hopefully my next steroid injection (epidural) will do the job, and I'll be able to hit the shows in August or September, PUPPIES willing!!!
Yes, we're expecting!!!:D Not until July 2nd or so, but Gigi has managed to keep this litter and I am keeping her well fed, relaxed and fat and happy. We have 3 weeks to go, and she is getting fatter by the day. I need to take some more pictures of the dogs now. Buzz is really looking great, although he needs to build up some muscle under the weight he's gained (finally!).
Connor did not turn out to be a show pup, and went to a wonderful family in Texas to keep Buzz' first cousin company. It seemed like a wonderful Whippet reunion when we met his family (I took Buzz and Gigi to meet them too) in Dallas in March. So far, he's doing beautifully.
I'll try to keep up on the site better now that I've got more time and a new hard drive. Mine died about a month and a half ago, so I've been off the computer for a while. I was amazed at how awful the website looked. I'm going to try to set up some sort of web store here, but I'm in no hurry, so if you're interested in purchasing a lead or having a custom lead, bait bag or something made, just email me. The information is in the website. In the meantime, have a wonderful summer. I'll be chilling out on the sofa, working on my home study program and trying to keep myself from going stir crazy. I'm sure I'll be busy enough come the first part of July!

Hello again!
I know it's been a while since my last entry, but things around here have taken a new twist! I can't remember if I posted that Gigi was aborting her litter about three weeks prior to her due date, but we were terribly disappointed when she started to spot blood. I took her to the vet and she had a terrible UTI, but her blood work showed nothing else unusual. The vet could not feel ANY pups and said he was afraid she was aborting the entire litter and he would be extremely surprised if she carried any to term.
WELL...The Thursday (Sept 4th) that was her due date, I was on the sofa with her, and she had been acting awfull maternal. I just figured she was carrying on with a false pregnancy due to the loss of the pups, when I noticed that she looked really full on her right side. I palpated her and thought that either she really needed to go outside, or there was a pup or two in there. My suspicions were confirmed when the lump kicked me back! I was so shocked that I couldn't believe myself, so I asked my daughter and mother to come take a grope. They both got a kick too, so we started to prepare for the arrival of ??? pups.
Friday afternoon, Gigi got really restless, and around 7:00 pm CST the first signs of labor began. Needless to say, labor for this "litter" was long and hard!!! I am proud to announce that at 11:41 CST, our "BOUNCING BABY BOY" was finally born!!! Weighing in at 12 ounces ~ one BIG BOY!~ I am proud to say that at one week, "Connor" is doing well as is his very tired and much thinner mother Gigi
!!! Seeing as how he has all the food supply, he has managed to put on quite a bit of weight over the first week, and will be weighed again soon if I have to take him to the post office!
I will be posting a video montage of photos of his birth and continuing to post pictures as he grows and continues to change over the next weeks, so keep watching! This is one pup to look for this coming March!!!

Back again!
What a total dufus! I took a nap this afernoon, and woke up around 7:00 p.m., thinking it was 7:00 a.m. MONDAY, so I took my MORNING meds and will probably be up all night long! I guess I was really tired!
I had Gigi's pregnancy all screwed up in my head. She's 5 weeks along THIS weekend! I kept thinking it was a short pregnancy and that the due date didn't seem right when I kept looking at the calendar! Thank goodness I've postponed starting my MBA for another week or so. I can do that with online/on campus courses. I'm also waiting on the financial aide to come through. It's all been accepted, but I had to fax a couple more things Friday, so I won't know more until "Tomorrow" or Tuesday.
Got some wonderfully cute pics of Gigi and Hilary in Gigi's baby pool this weekend. We're getting her used to it since she's going to whelp a litter in it in about 3 weeks. She's got a bladder infection, but we're treating it. I've posted some pics on my facebook albums.
I'll let you know what else is going on
!

p.s. I HAVE updated the site with some new information, so be sure to check it out!

Back again! What a busy weekend! This was the Junior Achievement Challenge (JAC) Weekend here in OKC, so we were busy all day yesterday and today with Gigi at the fairgrounds. Hil was in hands on classes and clinics, while I spent my time working on a roo lead to keep busy and watched the Conformation Fun Match! I always love to watch the puppies! They are so funny! I also got to make a lead for Sarah (sp?), a Toy Fox Terrier puppy that is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! She belongs to a friend of mine, and I also have another one to make as well for some friends of hers. I'm going to post a few pics of Sarah's lead as it is very unique, and a one of a kind, as will the other one also be.
That's the way it goes with the beaded leads. No two are exactly alike! I make sure of that because I use hand blown glass beads and also murano glass beads from all different sources. That way you know you are getting a one of a kind lead and not a mass produced lead from a vendor.
We met all sorts of interesting people this weekend, and I was able to trade off an old suit for a new Jones New York suit for Hilary in the Clothes Exchange. REALLY a great idea! I wish they would do that at more shows... HINT!!! Juniors grow so fast, that they hardly have time to wear one suit hardly two or three times before they outgrow it. With the clothing exchange, they would be able to save A LOT of cash (although we hit the consignment stores and Ross on a regular basis, and there IS one vendor who sells name brand suits for 50 to 75% off at the shows!) on show clothes.
My ribs are feeling better. Gigi is looking thicker, and I will be posting some pictures of her if I can get some really good ones to come up and not be too grainy! I'm starting my Master's Degree in Website Development on the 12th, so, hopefully, I'll be able to help you guys out with your websites sooner than later! Mine too!!!
Well, I've got some pictures of Sarah's lead to post! Hope you had a great weekend.

Hey there,
Just another Sunday morning. Been awake since 4:00 a.m. Not unusual for me. The dogs are ALL asleep
. OOPS! Spoke too soon! Gigi, mama to be, just started to stir. Puppies are 4 weeks along, and I palpated her over the past week. Feels like 5, possibly 6. Hopefully no more. She's small for a Whippet, and 4 are already taken. There's a waiting list for any others. I would be happy with a nice female a bit larger than her mommy, but also a bit mellower! Gigi is a little spitfire, and with Buzz being such a couch potatoe, it's been quite an adjustment! I'll just be happy with what I get, as long as they are all healthy and have great temperaments!
I've had to close my eBay store due to a bought with pneumonia/pleurisy that left me with 4 disarticulated ribs and 2 of those are busted. I'm still taking orders, but I'm having problems getting my Freewebs pages up the way I want them to be. More simplified for you to shop, so if you know what you want, just email me or call the toll free #, and I will take care of your order. It may just take a bit longer. I AM braiding some roo leads and collars with beads or without ~ Gigi eats them if I don't get them put up fast enough ~ so if you are interested in one of those call me. Right now funds are limited, so I am also beading the nylon leads and toy leads as well. Custom orders are NOT a problem! Just a bit more expensive. As for the present, I'm sending PayPal invoices. I'll be getting the pages up with color selections over the next couple of weeks since I'm bored out of my mind!
Hope you have a great rest of your weekend! I'll also post pictures of the dogs as I get more time.
