Back again! What a busy weekend! This was the Junior Achievement Challenge (JAC) Weekend here in OKC, so we were busy all day yesterday and today with Gigi at the fairgrounds. Hil was in hands on classes and clinics, while I spent my time working on a roo lead to keep busy and watched the Conformation Fun Match! I always love to watch the puppies! They are so funny! I also got to make a lead for Sarah (sp?), a Toy Fox Terrier puppy that is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! She belongs to a friend of mine, and I also have another one to make as well for some friends of hers. I'm going to post a few pics of Sarah's lead as it is very unique, and a one of a kind, as will the other one also be.
That's the way it goes with the beaded leads. No two are exactly alike! I make sure of that because I use hand blown glass beads and also murano glass beads from all different sources. That way you know you are getting a one of a kind lead and not a mass produced lead from a vendor.
We met all sorts of interesting people this weekend, and I was able to trade off an old suit for a new Jones New York suit for Hilary in the Clothes Exchange. REALLY a great idea! I wish they would do that at more shows... HINT!!! Juniors grow so fast, that they hardly have time to wear one suit hardly two or three times before they outgrow it. With the clothing exchange, they would be able to save A LOT of cash (although we hit the consignment stores and Ross on a regular basis, and there IS one vendor who sells name brand suits for 50 to 75% off at the shows!) on show clothes.
My ribs are feeling better. Gigi is looking thicker, and I will be posting some pictures of her if I can get some really good ones to come up and not be too grainy! I'm starting my Master's Degree in Website Development on the 12th, so, hopefully, I'll be able to help you guys out with your websites sooner than later! Mine too!!!
Well, I've got some pictures of Sarah's lead to post! Hope you had a great weekend.
