This is another EXCELLENT source for the Whippet crowd. Kerrie Kuper has been in the breed for 37 years, and she and Mary Alderman of JAAMA Whippets have a breeding program like no other! Both of my Whippets share the same Grandsire on their Dam's side, Karasar's Impressive, and I cannot say enough about the time, love, and dedication Kerrie has given to her dogs, as well as to the betterment of the Whippet Breed. Kudos to both Kerrie and Mary for their EXCELLENT work!
If you are searching for a quality Show or Pet Whippet, I HIGHLY recommend this breeder. Her Kennel is registered with AKC, and she is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the breed, which areas of the States that certain "types" are preferred, and has been an EXCELLENT mentor for my daughter and me with our big boy Buzz.
You m
ay wonder WHY I am including a Cane Corso (pronounced Ka-nay Corso) breeder in my Links Page. Well, this is why. The Cane Corso was accepted into AKC in 2008, and many people are not well educated about the breed. I know I certainly was not until I met this breeder and her dogs. She is PHENOMENAL!!! The photo on the left is of her latest pup Cyndel, who is much larger now, but is already showing great potential in the AKC Cane Corso show circuit! If you are wondering about this breed as a "trainable family dog," look no further. ALL of Laura's dogs have earned their CGC's, Cyndel just recently, and TDI's (Cyndel will test for this when she turns one year old). This is one of her requirements for her dogs BEFORE they enter the conformation ring, unless they are exceptional like Cyndel. So, have no fear, the Cane Corso breeders are making a definite effort to put their best paw forward in the coming year!
S
ong Hollow Chinese Cresteds & Creations is a wonderful site for those of you who may not be familiar with my "Other Breed," Chinese Cresteds! This site is extremely informative, classy, and also has products especially made for the care of the Chinese Crested, whether it be a Hairless or a Puff! I highly recommend this site, not only for Crested Lovers, but for ALL dog lovers! There is something for everyone to see and learn there!
Tony and Marie are some of the most conscientious breeders of Shih Tzu's I know! Their passion for the breed makes them stand apart from all of the other breeders I knnow and work with. Tony is a professional handler in Puerto Rico, and Marie handles the home raising of each and every litter. She also makes some of the most beautiful bows I have ever seen Take a look at their site! It's well worth the time!!!
This is one site where you cannot go wrong! It has ALL the information you need on purebred dogs, and which one would probably be the best "fit" for you. There is also a section for Juniors, kids from 7years old to 17 years old who are allowed to show their dog in AKC Events just for them! There are seminars, a monthly newsletter, and much more information if your kiddo gets bit by the dog show bug!
AKC also offers information for Breed Rescue organizations, and usually has an email address and a contact person who can point you in the right direction to finding the right pet if you are looking for a rescue that is in need of a good home! There are SO many things to say about this site, that it's better for you to just click on the link and see for yourself what AKC has to offer the dog lover in you!
What would we do without good old Jack Onofrio and the perpetual mail we constantly get? I can say one thing about him. He's not afraid to send me enough paper to recycle! However, as a show Superintendent, and a co-sponsor with the Junior Achievement Challenge ~ An ABSOLUTE MUST FOR JR. HANDLER'S TO ATTEND!!! ~ he DOES keep those of us who are showing our dogs VERY WELL informed about upcoming shows, and his website is not only informative about shows, but also has some educational materials on how to calculate points (something that can be VERY confusing to the Novice, and even to someone who has been around a while!), as well as services such as travel assistance and some very helpful staff that have heard from me more than once about my entries making it in on time! There are several other Superintendents out there, and although Jack is no longer with us, his legacy lives on through his family.
Please continue to check back on a regular basis! I'm still working on the "Guts" of the website, but in the meantime, I will be adding links to other sites that I think are worthy of mentioning! I am also interested in trading links with you if you find my site helpful and informative. Just email me at buzzn2goshow@yahoo.com.
